Live React · Birmingham
Bespoke software, built around how you work.
A Jewellery Quarter studio shipping websites, web apps, mobile apps, and APIs for teams in Birmingham and across the West Midlands. This page is one of the builds — React, server-side rendering, and a stack we actually ship, not a theme with the logo swapped.

Web design and custom software
Web design for a clear site. Software when you need a product — web apps, mobile, APIs, or all three. Every build is bespoke.
Most people arrive with one of two jobs. Either they need a site that explains what they do — WordPress if they want to edit pages themselves, or a custom React site if the design and the integrations have to be exact. Or they need software: a portal, a mobile app, an API, or the three talking to each other. We keep those lanes separate on purpose, so you are not sold a twelve-page theme when you needed a login, and you are not quoted an app when a five-page brochure would do.
How we build web apps, mobile apps and APIs
Short cycles, honest scope, and software you can use before the last invoice. A first version is a thing people can log into, tap, or send a customer to — not a slide deck of what might exist later.
Typical work from this studio looks like a WordPress or React brochure for a local business, an admin portal for a team that has outgrown spreadsheets, a React Native app next to that portal, or a Go API that all of those surfaces share. Pirate Day is the shape of the last of those: an organiser dashboard and a participant mobile app talking to the same backend. We quote that first slice, then grow it.
01
Understand the work
We start with how you actually operate — the people, the constraints, and the outcome you need — not a generic feature list. A warehouse floor, a test lab, and a charity event day all look different on paper. We would rather hear that story than fill in a template questionnaire.
02
Shape the product
You get a clear plan: what we will build, what we will not, and how websites, apps, and APIs fit together if you need more than one surface. Scope is written down before anyone writes code, so the quote matches the job and you are not paying for a portal when a brochure site would do.
03
Build and launch
React, React Native, and Go on AWS — shipped in slices you can use, with support after go-live so the software stays yours. First versions are meant to be used, not presented. We host, hand over, and stay on the hook while it settles in.
React Native, Go APIs and the stack we ship
JavaScript and React for the web, React Native for mobile, Go for APIs, GitLab for delivery, AWS for hosting. Chosen because they hold up in production — not because they look good on a slide.
React keeps the marketing sites and the dashboards on the same footing. React Native means iOS and Android from one codebase when someone needs a phone in their hand. Go holds the API together so the website and the app share one source of truth — login, data, and the services you already run. If the job is a WordPress brochure, we say so. That is a different lane, with a different price, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Domain and hosting sit in the first-year quote. After that, WordPress hosting is one hundred pounds a year and custom React hosting starts at one hundred and twenty. The point is that a Birmingham team can launch a site without a second invoice for DNS and a server, then keep a predictable bill once the year rolls over.
WordPress is the right lane when you want to change pages yourself: a five-page brochure from three hundred and fifty pounds, ten pages on Advanced, Premium when the design needs more weight, or e-commerce when you are selling. Custom React is the lane when the site has to match a design exactly, or when it has to talk to an API WordPress cannot add on. Software starts separately: a web application or a React Native mobile app from three thousand pounds, an API from one thousand five hundred, a full product ecosystem from six thousand.
Versite is a Jewellery Quarter studio, not a network of freelancers. If you are in Birmingham, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Coventry, Wolverhampton, or anywhere else in the West Midlands, the same person who quoted the job writes the software. That is how a first version stays honest, and how a brochure site can grow into a web app, a mobile app, and an API without changing studios halfway.
West Midlands teams we build for
Owner-led companies, charities, and internal teams who need something that fits how they already work. A local business that wants a site which does not look like every other template in Birmingham. A warehouse or lab that has outgrown shared spreadsheets. An organiser who needs a portal and a phone app for the same event. The common thread is a real workflow, a named person at this end, and software you can use.
You do not need a finished spec. A sentence about the people using it, what they should be able to do, and when you need it live is enough to start. We reply with a path — WordPress, custom React, a web app, a mobile app, an API, or a mix — and a quote to match.
A typical West Midlands brief is web design this year and a portal next: a WordPress or React brochure for Birmingham customers, then a React Native mobile app and a Go API when the team outgrows forms and spreadsheets. Professional services, manufacturers, charities, and event organisers all come through the same studio. You get a named person in the Jewellery Quarter, not a sales desk that hands the job on. If the first version is a five-page site, the stack still matches the software you might need later, so you are not paying to start again.
Birmingham and the West Midlands
We build from the Jewellery Quarter and work with teams across the city and the wider Midlands — in person in Birmingham when it helps, remote when a call is enough. Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Coventry, Wolverhampton and the Black Country are a normal week, not a special trip. If you are further out, the process is the same: a short conversation, a quote, and software you can actually use.

Have an idea?
Tell us what you want people to be able to do. We will come back with a path — website, app, API, or all three — and a quote to match. If you are in Birmingham or anywhere in the West Midlands, that conversation can be a call or a seat in the Jewellery Quarter.
